When I woke up this morning there was already a bit of wind. So I checked online and sure enough, it was good. I thought to myself, lets wait just a bit to see if this is going to hold or just drop off in the next few mins. It did not drop off, but continued to build! Because I am wind powered, that means I simply cannot just sit still while there is wind outside. I got ready, tossed some breakfast in the microwave and I was off.
This is probably only the second or third time I’ve taken out the 3.5, but it was the right call! Every single run was on the foil because there was so much wind! I kept going, and going, and going.
Quick side note though. I ended up getting ready around 8:30 and when I got to the parking lot at the hook there was no one there! I was incredulous. There’s a LOT of wind and no one is out?!?!?! I was the first one on the water and up and foiling and I’d like to think I inspired many others to rig up and get out there.
I went until I couldn’t go any more. What a great session and what a great morning
