It’s taken almost a year to get back to this. But that seems a bit typical for me. I got to thinking I’d like to use this just to remember what my sessions were like, to mark my progress, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Today is the maybe 5th or 6th session this season? I can’t really remember. What I do know is that I had a session yesterday and then a session today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yesterdays session I thought was very windy. But looking at it now it wasn’t really that windy. I recall getting up on the foil but with some pumping. Today’s session was very similar, going back and forth and just waiting on the gust and then pumping if needed but often times getting right up on the foil. Yesterday was the first few times I can remember getting up on the foil on starboard tack (goofy) and I was able to replicate it today. Control is still a bit squirrely but it’s getting better. Today was probably the first time I can recall waiting, feeling a gust and then being up on the board and on the foil within about 5-10 seconds. On a port tack of course. But it’s really, really good progress I think. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
At this point I’m getting up on foil in both directions if there’s more than 15kts of wind, and that’s with the 4.5 and of course I’m already considering a 5.5 since that would extend the wind range. Really do need to get another leash though. Now I know for sure what’s caused it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
