Pretty sure I recall last season having a lot of weed but it seems even worse this year. Trying to go upwind only meant more and more weeds. Can’t count the times I got flung and catapulted off the board! But, it was still a great session. The wind was gusting to 27mph and so all I had to do was hang on to the 3.5 and I was flying. Getting better at heading upwind and just overall control
At one point I was taking a break and the wind was just whipping along the jetty and I couldn’t help but just grinning. Pretty sure it’s the biggest grin I’ve had on my face in a long time. Takes me back to this idea about being wind powered. When there’s that much wind and I can get out on the water I’m so, so very happy.
